First Blood Merchandise

I'll start with the product review, but there's one hell of a story with it.

First, the product: True to size, decent quality, and fantastic design. The order came quickly enough to the US, and everything was as advertised.

I bought one like this at WTR in 2024, only it was for my son, Julian. Unfortunately, when we got to the merch booth, they were all out of smalls. He asked for a medium anyway, to which I told him that he'd grow into it. That was May 10, and he only wore it that day and maybe twice more.

Then on May 23, 2024 we lost him to suicide.

He would never grow into it.

After a few months and getting through the deepest levels of Hell, I needed to speak up about the bullying that he suffered and the school did less than nothing about. When I was able to go back to a school board meeting, I decided that wearing my son's shirt was the best way to honor him at the time. That shirt would then become my go-to for almost every school board appearance after that, going on a year and a half.

While he wasn't able to grow into it, I made sure that one of his favorite souvenirs from that music festival would continue to be seen publicly when it mattered. I've even told those heartless, hollowed shells of administrators that it's Julian's shirt and they've accused me of bullying them. After having worn that shirt to over 28 school board meetings and several events in my son's name, that shirt is in danger of being worn out. So, here to the web store to grab a few more so that I can save the original for only the most important of events.

That original shirt was also gracing the stage at Disturbed's 25th anniversary of The Sickness tour during their stop in Charlotte, NC. I was able to tell a sliver of Julian's story to an arena full of fans, while wearing his shirt. It's been with me up and down the Eastern US coast, and even to Iceland. Because this single shirt means so much to me, I was elated to find that I could get some backups to protect the integrity of the original.

I'm still not ready to retire his original shirt, and having these extras means I won't have to any time soon. I'll still wear band shirts just about every day of my life, but this one keeps the school board Baba Yagas fearing the truth I'm burying them in.
